Abstract
309,273. Ellyson, F. W. Feb. 18, 1928. Instantaneous generators.-A steam generator consists of an internallv heated annular chamber 1 divided by a helical rib or partition extending from its inner wall, and of a chamber 2 formed integral with the annular chamber for receiving feedwater from preheating coils 7 and steam from the upper part of the annular chamber, the whole being enclosed by a removable cover. The supply of preheated water to the chamber 2 is controlled by a float valve 21. Steam passes into the upper part of the chamber 2 through a heated coil 11 and leaves through a heated coil 17, which delivers through a pipe 6 into a superheating chamber 14 in the combustion chamber. The supply of heated water to the lower end of the annular chamber is controlled by a hand-operated valve 10.
