Bleached products; treating with solid substances; treatment by damping. - In heating flour, meal, or other edible milling products with organic peroxidized compounds for improving the keeping and baking qualities and for bleaching purposes, a substance facilitating volatilization of the peroxidized compound is added. Solid or liquid peroxidized compounds and solid or liquid volatilization-facilitating substances may be used. When solids are employed they may be used in the amorphous form. Specification 102,967, 186,571; 200,508 and 213,268, [both in Class 49, Food &c.] are referred to.
