Abstract

In a process for making biscuits, agar agar is dissolved in boiling water and the solution mixed with coarse ground wheat and other cereals in roughly the proportions of wheat 10 parts, barley 2 parts, oats 1 part, agar agar 1/2 part. The mixture is then dried in an oven and the product ground into meal which is sweetened with honey, sugar, or molasses and shaped and baked into biscuits.
