Abstract

308,027. Windover, W. L. S., and Rapson, F. L. Jan. 30, 1928. Springs, mounting bodies and undercarriages on. - Bodies are connected to the chassis frame by a number of flexible couplings comprising spaced brackets to which is secured a bolt adapted to pass through oppositely arranged holes in the chassis frame and rubber buffers the latter being arranged between the brackets and the chassis frame. As shown brackets b, care mounted, preferably adjustably, on the body a and interposed between them and the chassis members d are rubber &c. buffers h of the shape shown and preferably provided with air apertures. The buffers are provided with extension shoulders i adapted to project through enlarged apertures c in the member d. A single bolt j passes through the brackets b, c, buffers h and chassis member d. In a modification an additional buffer n is mounted as shown in Fig. 4 between a shoulder m on the bolt j and the chassis member d.
