Abstract

726,956. Motor vehicle frames. DAIMLERBENZ AKT.-GES. Oct. 9, 1952 [Oct. 9, 1951], No. 25339/52. Class 79(4). In a passenger motor vehicle chassis the frame comprises a central longitudinal member and two transverse members resting thereon, the transverse members being arranged within the wheel base near the axles, the ends of the transverse members being connected outside the wheel track to outer longitudinal members and the central member projecting at both ends beyond the transverse members. As shown the central longitudinal member 1 has resting thereon end transverse members 2, and possibly a middle transverse member 4, and resting on the transverse members are the outer longitudinal members 3. In another embodiment, Figs. 4 and 5 (not shown), the single longitudinal member is replaced by two.
