Abstract

692,874. Motor-vehicle frames. FERGUSON RESEARCH, Ltd., H. Sept. 22,1950, No. 23267/50. Addition to 467,891. Class 79 (iv) A motor vehicle according to the parent Specification having a longitudinally central guider frame and swinging half axles at the front which can be swung in opposite directions for steering is modified by including in the frame longitudinally extending members spaced transversely from each other, at least along part of their lengths. As shown in Fig. 1 the frame comprises two differential casings 1 and a pair of longitudinally extending members 3. Alternatively, the members 3 may be spaced apart along their entire portions and converge at each end at the differential casings. In a further modification, Fig. 3, the members 3b are spaced apart throughout their lengths, and are secured to cross members 4 attached to the differential casings.
