Fillers; insoles.-The space between the insole and sole of a boot is filled by a cushion 7, Fig. 1, of cellular rubber which has its marginal edges 8 serrated, while the insole 2, Fig. 4, is moulded to the shape of the foot, is perforated at 5, and is made pliable by bevelling or thinning under the ball of the foot and under the toes, as indicated at 4. The filler may be arranged at the forepart only, or may extend under both forepart and heel, and the holes 6, Fig. 1, in it, and the holes 5, Fig. 4, in the insole may be larger towards the centre.
