Abstract
307,774. Evill, N. Dec. 13, 1927. Supporting.-Relates to lamp standards designed to form part either of a base (for use on a table &c.) or of a fitment for attachment to a chair, bed. &c. The lamp holding portion or post b carries at its base one member e.g. the finger d of a " plug-in " joint the other member of which is formed in a base portion a, Fig. 1B, or in a bracket n, Fig. 1A, designed to be secured, say, to the arm of a chair. A ball catch in the socket part of the joint engages a countersink j in the finger d.
