Heating air.-An air heater comprises headers A, B joined by concentric tubes C, D so that air passes through the annular spaces between the tubes, while products of combustion in the flue E deflected by baffles F pass through the inner tubes and about the outer tubes. Both or either sets of tubes are provided with gills, projections or fins either inside or outside or both. Specifications 19291/11, [Class 64 (iii), Surface apparatus &c.], and 260,174 are referred to.
