287,335. Davis, H. N., Twigg, W. R., and Radiation, Ltd. April 14, 1927. Air supply for combustion; outlets to chimneys. -In connection with gas-heated apparatus employing outer and inner pipes a, b for the supply of air to the burners and for the removal of waste gases, a pair of flanges e, d forming between them an outwardly-flaring passage are provided on the end of the inner pipe, whilst the end of the outer pipe is fitted with a dished flange g extending towards the flange d. Seating-strips h for the flange d are preferably provided on the flange g. In the construction shown, the inner end of the pipe b is screwed into a plate k accommodated in an enlarged end of the pipe a, which is formed with a flange l for bolting to the stove.
