Locking nuts.-In a lock-nut an inner nut 7 of elastic material and of double frustum cross-section is located in a single frustum crosssection recess in the end of the nut which faces the work. The inner nut is threaded with a thread of the same pitch as that of the main nut and the bolt works equally in both sections, but when the section 7 bears against the seat, this section is compressed longitudinally to cause locking of the nut on the bolt.
