305,205. Stratford, C. W. Feb. 2, 1928, [Convention date]. Water circulation, apparatus for promoting.-Water or other liquid is projected through a plurality of submerged jets against the exterior of a boiler flue 3, the jets being uniformly spaced circumferentially. Liquid in a still is drawn by a submerged pump with inlet 16 and is delivered through ring headers 8, pipes 9 and jets 10 at high velocity on to the surface of the flues 3. The jets may be inclined to cause a rotary movement round the flue. A modification with an external pump and a single flue is described. A centrifugal separator comprising a tangential inlet 20, a hood 19 with uptake 21, and a pan 22 is provided, through which feed-liquid is supplied, to remove vapour. The application of the method of heating of steam generators is mentioned. Specification 280,727, [Class 32, Distilling &c.], is referred to.
