302,592. British Celanese, Ltd., (Assignees of Dreyfus, C., and Rivat, G.). Dec. 16, 1927, [Convention date]. Fabrics with pile formed of artificial silk. - Fabrics composed partly of cellulose acetate or other derivatives of cellulose and partly of other filaments or fibres are printed in selected portions with pastes containing mineral acids or salts adapted to attack the cellulose acetate which is removed after subjecting the fabric to the action of heat. The invention may be applied to fabrics having a pile cellulose acetate or other cellulose derivatives and a wool or silk background. The pile may be wholly or partly delustred. Specifications 229,241, [Class 42 (i), Fabrics, Finishing &c.], 274,074, [Class 120 (iii), Yarns &c.], and 302,363, [Class 42 (i), Fabrics, Finishing &c.], are referred to.
