Oct. 24, 1927 Point-tongues, mounting of; stretcher bars. - A connecting rod CR is carried by rollers R carried by bell cranks' BC pivoted at F and connected by a rod TBR which may be adjusted by a turnbuckle TB. The inoperative tongue TR is raised slightly from the slide chair C but rests on the chair when moved against the stock rail SR. The rod CR may be the usual connecting or pulling rod or may be additional, and more than one such rod may be supplied for long switches. The rod is secured to the tongue by a pin CRP entering a hole in an oval end O on the rod which engages an oval hole in the tongue, the pin head engaging the end O and not the tongue.
