525,771. Railway switches. BISCHOFF, G., and NIEBERDING, F. Feb. 28, 1939, No. 6591. Convention date, Feb. 28, 1938. [Class 104 (i)] A switch for light railways comprises a bar 5 connecting the tongues 3, 4 and having at one end an extension provided with a handle 6. The bar is connected to the tongue 3 by a bolt 8 permitting relative vertical movement of the bar against the action of a spring 10 carried by the bar and engaging the tongue. A cam 12a with a curved top engages one or other edge of the stock rail 1 according to the' setting of the switch, and its curved top allows the points to be trailed through. It may be angularly adjusted to suit the throw of the tongue 3.
