Hook-headed spikes.-A railway spike of the type in which a secondary head is provided to facilitate removal by means of a claw-bar, comprises a straight shank 16 and a forwardly-projecting head 18 above which an integral narrow neck 20 extends having transverse projections or ledges 21 for engagement with the claw-bar. The ledges 21 may form part of a cap-like secondary head.
