Abstract

298,435. Dodge, H. Feb. 20, 1928. Antiseptics.-Hides and skins are preserved or cured prior to tanning by treating with a composition consisting of formaldehyde, nitre, sodium bicarbonate and sodium bisulphate. The composition may be used in aqueous solution, or rubbed in dry, with or without admixture with salt.
