Casings; pendulum-weight apparatus.-In a weighing scale having an upstanding indicator casing so mounted on the substructure containing the base weighing mechanism as to be rotatable whilst maintaining the parts connected, the upstanding indicator casing is arranged to turn about its own vertical axis and is combined with connecting-elements which are connected, at a point or points out of the axis of rotation of the upstanding casing, to an intermediate member on the weighing- mechanism and are located wholly out of the axis of rotation. The scale pan support 21 has a forked extension 17 bearing oppositelydirected points engaging conical bearings 16<1> in an intermediate member 15. The intermediate member is coupled to the pendulum indicator 9 by connecting-elements 12<1>, 11, 12, arranged out of the axis A, B about which the upstanding indicator casing 6 turns upon the substructure 2. A rod 18 projecting from the member 15 is loosely engaged by a hook-like projection 19 secured to the casing 6 so that when the casing is rotated a corresponding swivelling movement of the member 15 is assured.
