Rotary abutment type; driving pumps. - Intermeshing rotor and abutment members a, b are formed with geartooth profiles, at the steps between the cylindrical surfaces. The spindles l, i are connected by spur-gearing j, k which may be housed as shown or within an external casing. In the former case, the fluid being pumped, which may be a cellulosic solution, is drawn by the pump through the chamber containing the gear-wheels so as to lubricate them.
