Abstract
294,416. Maclachlan, A. M. Nov. 26, 1927. Cells; supports /or electrodes.-A container for galvanic batteries is divided into compartments A each provided at the bottom with bridges E to support the plates or electrodes. not shown, to allow space for collection of sediment. A passage B is provided in one wall of each compartment, the upper end being normally closed by a plug C, the lower end D opening into the compartment, through which passage acid &c. may be withdrawn for testing without opening the container as by removal of the cover (not shown). At the bottom of each compartment an opening, normally closed by a stopper P, is provided through which the compartment can be drained. washed out &c. The container is provided with projections &c. serving as handles or for fixing the container to the running board of a motor-car.
