Abstract
293,007. Chilowsky, C. Oct. 27, 1926, [Convention date]. Divided on 279,834. Drawings to Specification. Oil gas.-In gasefying oils by partial combustion above 600‹ C., and passing the products over a heated catalyst, as described in Specifications 255,423, 271,899, 271,907 and 279,834, the feed of oil to the atomizer is periodically interrupted to allow the continuous supply of spraying air to remove carbon deposit by combustion. In a modification, superheated steam at 300-400‹ C. is added to the oil before or after spraying. The oil feed is interrupted by means of a three-way cock which diverts the supply to a tank when operated by a cam on a rotating disc.
