Diazonium and tetrazonium borofluorides of arylamines are combined with 2 : 3-hydroxynaphthoic arylides, pyrazolones, dipyrazolones, acetoacetic acid arylides or diacetoacetic acid diaminodiaryl compounds on the fibre. In examples the following dyestuffs are produced on yarns by treatment first with the grounding liquor and then with the diazo bath or printing paste the shades being as stated. (1) Phenyldiazoniumborofluoride # 2 : 3-hydroxy-naphthoic-2<1>-methyl-1<1>-anilide, reddish orange, (2) 4-chloro-2-methyl-1-phenyldiazonium - borofluoride # 2 : 3 - hydroxynaphthoic-4<1>-chloro-2<1>-methyl- 1<1>-anilide, bluish red; 5-chloro-2-methyl-1-phenyldiazoniumborofluoride gives a yellower red. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) comprises also examples of the following dyestuffs (1) 2-nitro- or 4-nitrophenyldiazoniumborofluoride # 2 : 3 - hydroxynaphthoyl-5<1>-chloro-2<1>-toluidine, bluish red, (2) 3- nitrophenyldiazoniumborofluoride # 2 : 3 - hydroxynaphthoylaniline, reddish orange (3) 2 : 5- dichloro - 4 - methylphenyldiazoniumbarofluoride # 2 : 3-hydroxynaphthoyl-2<1>-anisidine, scarlet, (4) 2 : 3 - dichloro-4-methylphenyldiazoniumborofluoride # 2 : 3-hydroxynaphthoyl-5<1>-chloro-2<1>- anisidine, turkey red, (5) 4 : 4<1>-di (diazoniumborofluoride) - diphenylamine # 2 : 3-hydroxynaphthoyl-1<1>-naphthylamine, black. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
