Abstract

Electric couplings.-An explosion-proof housing for electrical apparatus such as switches, fuses, potential transformers, indicating devices, &c., consists of a base frame 11, on which the apparatus is built, and a cover 13 of round or oval cross section which is fixed to the base frame 11 by bolts 15. To prevent the cover 13 from being removed while the apparatus within is alive, the plug connector 16 carries a member 19 which extends over the bolts 15 when the connector is in place and prevents the bolts being removed. The plug connector 16 as well as the signal lamps 20 and fuses 21 are accommodated in recesses 22 of the wall 23 of the base frame, the lamps and fuses being in addition mounted in a separate detachable housing 24 and connected to the apparatus through the plug 25.
