Diaphragms.- Relates to a diaphragm which may be readily mounted and subjected to a tension uniform in all directions. The diaphragm 8 is clamped between rings 6, 7 having wedge-shaped cross sections and co-operating with bevelled grooves 4, 5 in clamping members 1, 2 held together by screws 3. By tightening the screws, the edge of the diaphragm is gripped by the rings 6, 7 and the rings are expanded to tension the diaphragm to any desired extent. To ensure positive clamping the ring 6 is provided with a projecting ring which registers with a groove in the ring 7.
