Abstract

266,236. Kilborn, L. Sept. 20, 1926. Diaphragms; magnetic instruments.- The diaphragm 15 of a telephone receiver is mounted to produce concavo-convex areas with margins converging to the centre of the diaphragm. The interior top surface 11 of a base 10 has an integral depending annular flange 12 with its diaphragm-contact surface 13 arcuately grooved at opposite points 14. The diaphragm is interposed between two pairs of arcuate spacing-washers 16, 17 the upper pair of which sligbtly overlap the edges of grooves 14. The corrugations are produced by an annular locking- ring 18 with an integral annular upstanding flange 19. Magnetic pole-pieces 21 are mounted on a screw-threaded member 20.
