Abstract
333,323. Soc. Franþaise Radio Electrique, and Bernard, M. May 25, 1929. Diaphragms.-The diaphragm 1, Fig. 1, is supported by teeth 3 formed in the inner edge of an annular spring metal rim 5, Fig. 3. The diaphragm may have a cylindrical periphery 2, Fig. 1, upon which an acoustically insulating material 4 such as felt is straddled. The teeth 3, Fig. 4, may be disposed alternately on opposite sides of the diaphragm, gripping the diaphragm through soft material. The diaphragm is preferably of drawing paper, of thickness 20 to 30 hundreths of a millimetre and has a cone angle of 90‹ to 110‹. It may also be reinforced by superposed portions 7, 8, Fig. 4. Two cones, with apices connected and in opposition, may be mounted by the described means.
