Abstract
288,255. Hennefer Maschinenfabrik C. Reuther & Reisert. April 7, 1927, [Convention date]. Filling material into sacks. - A device for assisting the packing of materials into sacks, and for use in conjunction with weighing machines, comprises arms c, d mounted on axes a, b and carrying contact pieces c<1>, c<2>, d<1>, d<2>. The arms are actuated by a crank i and links k, l so that the contact pieces c<1>, d<1> strike the sack simultaneously at different levels, the pieces c<2>, d<2> having a similar action. In a modied form, only one contact piece is mounted at each side of the sack. The contact pieces may be eccentrically mounted on bolts m, Fig. 5, on the arms c, d, springs n pressing projections p into notches o, so that they can be set in different positions for adjustment for use with various sizes of sacks.
