Apparatus fitted to trussing and binding machines. -A manually operated trussing and binding machine tor straw comprising a frame A1, A2 having uprights D1, D2, F1, F2 at its ends and straw compressing means consisting of anchor chains J, secured to the one end of the frame, and tensioning chains I which pass round pulleys I1 is fitted with a weighing device comprising a subplatform K with uprights K1 at each end which is carried on rocking levers K2, K3, and balanced by a sliding balance weight K5.
