Abstract

287,161. Lorenz Akt.-Ges., C., (Assignees of Schmidt, K.). March 18, 1927, [Convention date Exciting. - Alternating currents of medium frequency for the distant control of relays &c. are superposed upon a low frequency single or polyphase system by interposing a generator of the required frequency in the exciting circuit of any synchronous machine running on or connected to the system e.g. a generator or phase compensator. Fig. 1 shows a booster with its winding ZM in a low tension line and its exciting circuit, containing a. medium-frequency generator MG. the frequency of which is superposed upon the lowtension line by transformer action in the booster, and thence to the high tension line through the transformer T1. According to the Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 (3) (a) the continuous current source B may be dispensed with. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specifica.- tion as accepted.
