Abstract
286,418. Broadhead, R. W. Jan. 17, 1927. Retort furnaces. - In connection with a gasretort bench A-A (shown in plan), the producer C and regenerator B are arranged separate from and independent of the bench and supply preheated secondary air and preheated gas to the several beds of retorts A. An insulated duct D connects the producer and regenerator and insulated ducts E, F, G are provided between the retort bench and the regenerator for producer gas, air and waste gases respectively.
