Abstract

285,329. Pohlig, C. July 30, 1927, [Convention date]. Addition to 258,245. Block paving. - Concrete roads formed of separate blocks rammed in situ in moulds formed of oiled, tarred, or asphalted board as claimed in the parent Specification, are formed according to the present invention by ramming cement concrete into the spaces e between solid mould members c arranged on the road bed, the members c being then removed to form intermediate spaces which are also rammed with cement concrete. The impregnated board d is placed round the peripheries of either the spaces e or the intermediate spaces prior to ramming. The spaces may be only partly filled with cement concrete, a second layer of superior cement concrete being applied to the under layer thus formed. The invention is shown applied to the formation of a strip arranged between concrete areas a and covering an underground house conduit.
