Abstract

Rafts.-A reversible raft or lifeboat is constructed with spaced turn keels 5, 6 situated on flat parts of the bottom between the sides 1 and a concavity 2 forming the outer bottom. The space between the outer bottom and the inner flat bottom is formed into. watertight compartments which are fitted with watertight doors 8, 10 permitting access from the interior or the exterior of the boat. The boat is stowed on deck on blocks 12 whilst in the cavity formed by the bottom is stowed a cylindrical float 15 resting on an inclined surface 15 so that the float rolls overboard when the boat is raised.
