Abstract
282,962. Walker, M. Dec. 3, 1926. Electromagnets. - The plate 8 and armature or armatures 7 of an electromagnetic friction clutch are connected by rods 6, slidable through the hollow cores 5 of the magnets 4, which are surrounded by grids formed of pole-members 11, extending from the pole-shoes 12 and optionally connected at their ends by rings 13. Non-magnetic spacing-buttons 14 may be carried on the cores 5 or rings 13.
