Abstract

282,648. Landis et Gyr Soc. Anon. Dec. 24, 1926, [Convention date]. Induction m o to r meters.-Iron vanes 13, for regulating the reluctance of a magnetic byepass, and a phase-adjusting copper vane 15 are fixed to brass bolts 12, 14, which are held friction - tigh between notches in clamps formed by pairs of brass blocks, of which the upper blocks 6 are shown. These clamps are secured to the core 1 of the pressure magnet by screws 7. The bolts 12, 14 have slotted hexagon heads 17 by which the valves 13, 15 may be adjusted by means of a screwdriver or key, the range of adjustment being limited by abutments formed by cutting away the heads 17 at one side so as to abut against the upper plates 6, which are broader than the lower plates. Beneath one clamp a thin vane 9 of sheet iron is fastened to the pressure cone 1, which vane extends towards the axis of the driving disc 11 and indicates the position of rest of the disc when the meter is out of circuit.
