Counting-apparatus; zeroizing-mechanism.-In a liquid-delivering apparatus wherein two measuring chambers are alternatively supplied and emptied by means of a single rotary valve bored in such a way that two different quantities may be delivered, a cam 30, Fig. 1, pinned to the valve spindle 16 has long and short lobes 31, 32 to give corresponding reciprocations to a spring- controlled rod 36 adapted to advance a ratchet wheel 39 through four steps or a single step. With the valve set for delivering the smaller volumes the shorter lobe 32 will be effective so that oscillation of the valve will register only the smaller deliveries. The .ratchet wheel is fast with a numeral drum 42, Fig. 3, and this in turn is geared with a total counter 45. The drum may be reset by first drawing outwards a knob 49 so as to disengage the drum from the counter and then rotating it to return the drum to zero. Forward rotation of the drum is prevented by the engagement of a spring pawl 50 with a fixed ratchet ring 51.
