282,085. Soc. Anon. Officine Galileo. Dec. 11, 1926, [Convention date]. Sights.-A sight a is provided with a drum f marked with lines corresponding to ranges read by a pointer e. The drum is rotated by means of a worm h and a hand-wheel g, and is raised and lowered by means of a spiral groove and pin m, a worm k, and a hand-wheel i; and the frame q carrying the drum and participating in its up and down movement is connected by a pin n to a vertical rack o, which meshes with a pinion p for imparting a corresponding angular adjustment to the top prism of the sight. Lateral adjustments are made by a hand-wheel v and indicated by a pointer on a drum r. The pointer e is carried by a vertical rack d in mesh with a pinion c controlled by a pendulum b, but this arrangement can be omitted for guns intended against marine targets only.
