Abstract
281,479. Kemp, C. N., and Thomson, J. L. Dec. 13. 1926. Wet . separating. - Apparatus for separating solids of different specific gravity by means of a liquid of intermediate specific gravity comprises a tank 1 having a lateral extension 2, a perforated bucket 4 submersible in the tank and a scoop 7 movable in the extension 2. The bucket is cut away at 5, the lower edge being level with the bottom of the extension, which may be partitioned from the tank by rotating the bucket. The bottom of the scoop may be perforated. The tank is connected through valves 15 to reservoirs 12 from which a suitable liquid may be forced into the tank.
