Abstract

280,874. Lewis, A. L. Nov. 17, 1926, [Convention date]. Vehicle fittings.-Portable platforms for elevating trucks comprise a flooring having the side edgings embraced by metal channels, transverse metal girders and legs being provided. The channel members may be of ordinary single section or may be formed by two angle irons welded together with over-lapping vertical sides 3, 10, as shown in Fig. 1 or Fig. 2, or with the vertical sides abutting. The legs 13, 14, 15 may be of bar iron shaped in various ways and welded to the channels and also if desired to the transverse girders 9 which may be of bar or angle iron and. may be disposed at the ends of the platform and intermediately as shown at 16. The edges of the flooring 1 may be recessed to take the horizontal flanges of the side channels and the transverse girders.
