Abstract

337,560. Naylor, A. Oct. 10, 1929. Buffers.-In a pit tub or like wagon of the kind in which the bottom, sides, and end walls are formed of separate metal sheets detachably bolted together to facilitate repairs, the end walls 6 consist of unflanged sheets bolted at their vertical edges to the inturned end flanges of the sides 5, while the bottom 1 preferably has upturned flanges secured by bolts 12 both to the sides and to the end walls. The construction shown in Figs. 1 and 3 is that of flat-bottomed tub, the bottom 1 being supported on two longitudinal beams 2 and three transverse cross-bars 3, while in a modification a well-bottomed tub is described, the well portion of which is corrugated for adding strength thereto.
