278,931. Armstrong, J. J. V., (Lafayette Co.). Jan. 20, 1927. Wrappers. - Relates to means for enclosing metal sheets or other goods. A blank, Fig. 1, of corrugated board, is cut at two corners on the lines 14, 15 and notched at 16 - - 19 on the sides 10 - - 13. The notches are cut in such positions that the lines 20 - - 23 joining them form a rectangle substantially the size of the sheets to be enclosed. These lines, and the lines 24 - - 27, are scored, so that the sides S<1> = - S<4> and the flaps F<1> - - F<4> can be bent upwards. The flaps, on being bent down on the top of the contents, are in abutting relationship with each other and may be sealed by strips 32 of gummed paper. A sheet of impermeable paper may be interposed between the blank and the contents and the areas 28 coated with adhesive such as sodium silicate so that the flaps adhere to the paper. The corrugations 29 are arranged at an angle to the scorings.
