Couplings. -The conductors of n multi-core cable are protected against excessive strain at the point where they enter a joint box by insulating and spacing members which hold them in their proper place. In Fig. 1, the member consists of a block b with apertures d. In another arrangement, Fig. 5, the conductors are held by segmental pieces b which wedge them against separating members c. Other arrangements comprise a block with a Baring aperture against the sides of which the conductors rest and a winding around the diverging conductors of the band of insulating fabric.
