Junction boxes. - In electric junction boxes in which the conductors pass into or out of them through rubber bushes or plugs between a plate and a part of the box, the plugs are of double truncated conical formation. The conductors 4 of the cables 5 are brought up through plugs 6 gripped between a detachable plate 7 and the centre portion 8 of the part 1. Inverse truncated conical portions 9, 10 squeeze the plugs firmly between the parts 7, 8 and also on to the conductor so that the box is completely sealed. In a modification the part 7 used for a single conductor is screwed upon the part 8.
