Abstract
216,210. British Insulated & Helsby Cables, Ltd., and Bullock, S. C. Feb. 23, 1923. Rail bonds.-A rail bond adapted for welding to the side of a rail comprises socket blocks 3, which may be cut away so as to form a jutter 6 adjacent to the rail, and into which the ends of a conductor 1, such as stranded cable are fixed by means of thimbles 2 tightly fitting the conductor and slightly tapered holes in the blocks. The ends of the conductors and of the thimbles lie preferably below the surface of the block forming a space 4 to receive metal.
