629,376. Electric railways. BENBOW, B. W. June 26, 1947, No. 16914. Convention date, Dec. 10, 1940. [Class 104 (iii)) A collector 12 comprises an endless chain of conductor elements 21 engaging the conductor 10 and moving over a bus-bar 31. The conductor elements are of toothed form to enter gaps 18 in the insulation around the wire 10. The chain passes over one or two insulating wheels 23. The bus-bar 31 formed in three sections 31a, 31b, 31c is mounted on a rubber cushion and has a connection 38 leading to the vehicle. The wire 10 is surrounded by a twopart plastic insulation 13, 14.
