Abstract

278,440. Hartley, W. July 8, 1926 Locking nuts.-A nut is locked by a member 10 pivoted to it at 13 and pressed by a spring 14 so that a knife-edged tooth 16 enters a series of serrations 17 on the bolt, the opposing faces of the serrations being undercut. The nut is released by placing a spanner over it so as to engage the member 10. The Provisional Specification describes serrations having radial opposing faces. Specification 174,264 is referred to.
