568,815. Locking nuts, &c. WHITWORTH, G. Oct. 12, 1943, No. 16695. [Class 89 (i)] Nuts &c. are locked by split spring washers 4, one end being turned up to engage rachet form recesses 6 on the underface of the nut, &c. and the other end being shaped to engage a notch 8 in the abutment. The notch 8 may also be of ratchet form.
