Chimney tops. - A chimney cap 18 is hollow and is provided with a hollow depending portion 8 having spaced external and internal walls 9, 10 forming a sealed air chamber, which is in communication with the interior of the cap. The device is supported b y a n outwardlyturned flange 15 at the top of the external wall 9, and this flange 15 is connected with the sloping wall of the cap. The inner wall 10 of the depending member is integral with the sloping wall of the cap. A flange 19 depends from the plate 15 in order to embrace the top course of the chimney. The inner wall 10 of the duct 8 extends below the bottom 11 of the duct. The device may be of metal.
