Abstract

Chimney-tops.-A chimney cap A is hollow and is provided with a hollow depending portion B having an outer wall 6 and an inner converging wall 7, forming a sealed air chamber which is in communication with the interior of the cap. The device is supported by an outwardlyturned flange 8 at the top of the outer wall 6, and this flange 8 is connected with the sloping wall 9 of the cap which may be either of frusto-conical or frusto-pyramidal shape. A flange 10 depends from the wall 9 of the cap to embrace the top course of the chimney.
