Abstract
276,195. Custerson, R. Oct. 30, 1926. Atmospherics and undesired signals, eliminating.-In an interference eliminator in which a plurality of circuits A, B are fed from a common source a and are arranged so that the desired signal does not affect all the circuits equally, the outputs being combined so that the interference cancels out, the circuits are fed through thermionic valves V<1>, V<2>, the interelectrode capacities of which are balanced out by neutralizing condensers C', C<2>. The desired signal is abstracted from one circuit by a wavetrap C<3>, L' or the circuits are tuned to different frequencies by condensers C<4>, C<5>. The signals in the circuits may be heterodyned by a common oscillator for superheterodyne reception. The aerial circuit is made aperiodic by a high-frequency choke L' or a resistance R.
