Abstract
276,114. NiÚll, M. July 7, 1926. Equipements.-Cases for photographic cameras, binoculars, or other light portable articles are provided with carrying means adapted to serve both as a hand-grip and, when opened out, as a shoulder strap or sling. The device comprises a pair of parallel members A, Fig. 1, connected at one end by a slotted arm B and at the other by a pin N. Pivotally mounted between the members is a support D, Fig. 3, on which, a tape, thin leather strap, or other means E to serve as a carrying sling is wound. One end of the tape, &c. is connected to the support and the free end passes through the slot F and is secured to a metal strip G slidably mounted on a stud secured to the camera or other case J. The free end of the part G is formed into a hook K adapted to engage in the slot F, where it is retained by a projection L carried by a slide M. The other end of the device is pivotally connected to the case by a piece O. A slide (not shown) having an open-ended slot adapted' to engage the support may be mounted on one of the side members to retain the support in alignment with the members A in the hand-carrying disposition of the parts.
